I just replaced my Klipsch 12” sub with a new Dayton Titanic 12” sub from Parts Express. The Dayton sub is sold as a kit meaning you have to assemble it. The assembly takes an hour and the only thing that is needed that is not included is a can of spray adhesive.
How does it sound – awesome! The old Klipsch sounds like a cheap $50 sub next to this thing. I have listened to sub four times the price and I would still pick the Titanic. The amp is high quality and the auto on feature actually works unlike many other subs that need the volume cranked through the roof for the sub to turn on.
One last note, the cabinet is a tank and is very well constructed. Fully assembled this sub is around 70 pounds.
Here is to shaking floors and rattling windows!
